The 914 appeared in 1969 in a collaboration between Porsche and Volkswagen house home. In 1970 he participated in the GT 914-6 grueling 24-hour Le Mans. After a tough and rugged competition in the rain it wreaked havoc, of the eight cars that managed to cross the finish line six were Porsche. He finished sixth in the overall standings and first in his catgoría being just a chapter in the long career of the vehicle.<
